Psychology 12
LAST UPDATED: Friday, May 6th
Brief Course OverviewIn Psychology, it is my goal to offer you an opportunity to learn more about yourself, the world you inhabit, and the complex way that our minds, behaviours, and interactions unfold. Psychology 12 focuses on exploring how our minds make meaning, our mental limitations, and how we grow and develop over time… among many, many other things.
A major component of this class is designed to offer you with the opportunity to ask questions, consider multiple perspectives, and to have a space to form learned opinions and judgments on our subject matter. Mistakes, errors, and Freudian-slips are celebrated in this class, as I care deeply that you come to class with a willingness to ask questions and take risks. By the end of the course, it is my intention that you pass with new mental tools and perspectives that can help you further explore the wonderful field of Psychology, and understand the human mind and behaviours better than before. DISCLAIMER: Education is an evolving practice, and therein, elements of our program such as grading criteria, units, and expectations will be subject to slight changes if the need arises. Furthermore, I am of the mindset that if someone is more knowledgeable, more talented, or has a better idea than I do, it's of far greater benefit to my students to use another teacher's material over my own. As a result, not all content that is listed under Lesson Plans and Organization are my own intellectual property, and are listed only for the benefit of student and parent access. I will do my best to make sure the proper creators are credited for their work, and I will be freely making adaptions/modifications as we go along. If there are any concerns, please contact me.
Also, Please Note! Our semester tends to get very busy, but it is still my goal to insure that all assignments and semester lessons are accessible for parents and students alike. If the website has not been updated within the past 7 days, feel free to send me an email and remind me. Thanks.
